Why does clock shifting affect the pigeons behavior, could explained that buds.
This is a great video, not only explaining the results, but also the terms the viewer would otherwise not know. Your visuals further clarified the results. Overall, a great job!
Awesome video! One of the only ones that explains the results clearly. I like the bird songs in the background, very relaxing!
I would have liked it if you had explained what clock shifting was before explaining the methods.
It is funny to now realize that pidgeons have a hierarchy system after watching this video! In regards to the content of this video I enjoyed how the information was given, but I would have liked to see more visuals to aid anyone in understanding the information given. It felt like only the data was drawn and shown so more visuals would have been nice in this video. The video did a great job in understanding proximate and ultimate cause.
Good information on the experiment but no overall picture or introduction. The beginning was a little confusing since there was no foundation. You just…kinda jumped in.
I feel that background information should have been given before the methods because the viewer does not initially know what is being referred to. However, this group did a very good job in explaining the results of the study and made it easy to understand. The visuals do a great job in aiding the viewer in understanding the concepts of the study. I also like how the ecology module was incorporated to explain the hierarchy of the pigeons.
The visuals in the video illustrated the points of the article, but lacked creativity. Filming the project members directly at the beginning and end of the video served little purpose in illustrating the ideas from the article (would have been better off using images, drawing or animations). Many terms used in the article were explained at awkward points in the video, causing some ideas to be presented non-sequentially. Otherwise, the ideas presented were simple to understand.
This video did a great job of explaining the results clearly in terms that the audience understands. The visuals also did a great job reinforcing the ideas described in the narration. Overall, great job!
Great job on this video. Unlike other videos which focused on dazzling viewers with confusing animations and light-speed dialogue, you guys kept it clear and concise enough so that anybody could see your video and understand your topic.
I just wish there was more background information because I was very lost in your methods section. Overall it was a good video but the information mostly went right over my head so I’m not entirely sure what I just watched.
Great job relating proximate and ultimate cause to the pigeon’s behavior. I feel that the explanation for clock shifting should have come before the experiment.
I thought the video was very explanatory and made clear any terms that might have been confusing. I additionally liked the visuals and felt that they contributed well to the video.
I like the relationship this video made to ecology. The video was very informative, and the visuals went well with the audio. I wish you would have provided a little more background information because I didn’t understand some of the information.
I do not like taking to camera directly, it looks a little bit boring to me. I like the background sound. It is very ecological and relaxing.
I do not like taking to camera directly, it looks a little bit boring to me. i love the pigeon sound as the background, it makes me feel like being in the nature and feels relaxing.
I too wished clock shift was explained beforehand; otherwise, I thought the explanations were clear. My favorite part of the video was when you guys maneuvered the birds on and off the paper to explain no/fast/slow clock shifting.
I was a little confused about the clock shifting, but other than that the video was good. The results could be explained a bit more, but the process of the experiment was explained well.
The video did a great job explaining the results of the experiment, although some background information at the introduction of the video would’ve helped to make the methods clearer.
The video is slightly difficult to pay attention to in the beginning, but the later visuals were more engaging, and y’all did a great job of explaining the study.
This video was very in-depth. I appreciated that you went in to great detail describing the methodology and controls in the beginning. You made the topic easy to understand for the audience and conveyed an easy to understand, engaging lesson to them. This is a great video! Well done!
This video is great! I like the visuals and the way the information is presented. However, a little more background information presented about the findings in the experiment probably would have made the rest of the video a little bit more clear. Overall, good video!
This video is really well done. They graphics clearly explain all of the information and I really like how they animated the flock movement in each stage. It was not rushed at all and was engaging.
Overall yall did a great job explaining this study; I especially liked how yall animated the the different movements of the flock on and off the page. Also the background bird sounds were a great touch.
Too much time spend showing the data, not enough time on interpretation. I liked the bird sounds.
Nice video with clear audio. Clock-shift could’ve been defined and explained. The data was very clearly presented, but explanation and interpretation was not as present.
I felt a bit lost watching this video; I wish that there was more background info provided. Visuals were hit or miss. I did enjoy the straight-forward presentation style though.
The video properly separated the different sections not overwhelming the viewer with all the complex material. Simplified the material really well.
I really like how you guys set it up and relayed the information as though it was being picked off the research paper. However, I wish there would have been a little more background info, because it seemed like you guys just jumped into it. The information discussed was put into very understandable terms, which was appreciated.
The visuals used throughout were really great. I especially liked how you interactively used different colored birds to show how the different shifts effected the flock. The results at the end really tied together the highlights of your topic really well!
Clock shifting was not explained very well. Also, I would have preferred more pictures to be drawn instead of so much writing because the writing did not completely match up with the video. Other than that, it was a great video!
The information is clear and concise and the bird sounds in the background are a nice touch.
I found your diagrams really helpful in understanding the information.I wished that there was more background information about the subject.
The cutout birds were a creative idea and helped convey the information in the paper. As a whole however, the video could be a bit more engaging. Most of the information was clearly portrayed and led to a greater understanding o the paper. The recreated figures were also accurate.
The detail in this video was incredible, however a more in-depth description of clock shifting would have helped to understand the video better. Overall, great job!
Bird sounds were a nice add on and y’all did a good job explaining the information clearly, I wish the audio was a little more clear but good job! (and maybe define clock shifting, I may not have known what it was if I had not had this same topic)
The video, in terms of audio and visuals, seemed relatively basic. However, the video did a great job explaining the topic.
My favorite part is that the birds could actually be moved, and I felt the illustrations were helpful in understanding the material. It could have been improved by continuing to use illustrations for the introduction and the conclusion. I also liked the background bird track-I almost thought there was a bird in my room haha.
Everything you explained was very thorough and well-explained, but I wish you included a background information or introduction in the beginning of the video because the audience would not know what is going on. However the visuals were easy to follow and understand. Overall, I thought you guys did a great job!
The content of the video was really interesting. During some parts of the video the audio quality went down, but the overall formatting of the video was good. The parts where you guys wrote down the information being presented helped me to keep engaged.
Overall the information was presented well. However, I would have had a better understanding if clock shifting had been explained a little better in the beginning!
The results were effectively and clearly explained. I wish there would have been additional background information before jumping into everything. The visuals were easy to understand and helpful.
The interview style shots do not add further information to the project. If those visuals were instead replaced with information pertinent to the study, the video would be much more effective.
You guys did a great job breaking down the methods of the experiment. I could follow the whole experiment through the video pretty easily.
Bird sounds in the background were a nice touch. The video did a good job explaining the results and the narration was easy to understand.
This was a really good video that explained the topic well. It would have been nice if clock-shifting was explained a little more in depth, but other than that, I thought it was well made.
Overall, this video is interesting and informative. One issue I have, however, is that in describing the stages the birds were tested in, stages 3 and 5 are said to be controls with no clock shifts, but during the explanation of path deviations, there is no description of these two phases, instead saying that stage 3 is a full flock fast shift. This causes some confusion. However, the connection to in class topics makes the study applicable and interesting to the class as a whole. Ultimately, this video does a very good job of explaining course related topics and keeping the audience interested.
You explained everything very well and gave a lot of background information that helped clarify the material. The background noises were cute and very fitting! Good presentation.
Nice job! The explanation of the study was very clear, and the bird noises were a nice touch.
The visuals and information were done well, but the break in voiceovers while drawing were being made seemed like a waste of time, and the bird noises in the back were nice at first but super distracting by the end.
