Very good job, since it explains the problem in a simple and understandable way. Correct uses of figures. However, very monotonous

  2. jpelzer3 says:

The video was very informative, and I liked how they first explained a little about adaptations and natural selection before they jumped into the topic of the evolution of superweeds. I would have liked a little more information on approach 1: how do farmers remove these weed seeds? Otherwise, I liked how data was specifically cited and graphs used. It could also have been more engaging and entertaining, but it was well executed.

  3. jsandmann3 says:

The video presented the information in an easy way to comprehend. Overall, it had a nice flow and the speaker was clear. I think it could have been a little more entertaining to watch though.

  4. preisinger3 says:

This video is well presented and is extremely informative, explaining the information in very simple terms. The graphics add to the video quality and the graphs are helpful to understanding the information that is presented. The audio quality, however, could be increased slightly as it sounds like there is a slight echo. Overall, the project is well done and is one I would watch again in the future.

  5. dyaroshevsky3 says:

Interesting how this herbicide “cocktail” approach mirrors the antibiotic cocktail approach taken to combatting resistant bacteria.

  6. jbright7 says:

The quality of the visual effects in the video were good, and really helped get the point across.

  7. rmccord8 says:

The information presented was very clear and easy to understand.

  8. kbates9 says:

Very nice, concise summary of a complex issue.
    Well done!

  9. kmccalley3 says:

Everything was presented very clearly and the summary of information was well supported by your visuals, I think you did a great job!

  10. psanghvi7 says:

This is a clear and simple video that explains how superweeds are currently evolving in our environment. Even if it seems like the solutions to the problem seem very easy we must also consider the circumstances around the event that may make the solutions hard to implement.

  11. slee913 says:

Good relation with the class materials. It was easy for me to understand the contents of this video.

  12. sglandorf3 says:

I thought the information was good and the visuals helped to support the information being given, however it was more informative and not very engaging.

  13. lchen352 says:

Pretty good information given but it feels like this was the work of only one person. Maybe next time you could add some real-time film to make it pertain to the viewers too. It seemed like the video was just a composition of pictures and words. But good voice!

  14. klarson30 says:

This was a very informative and engaging video. I liked all of the figures and images shown throughout the video, and your group provided a lot of interesting and useful facts.

  15. nderussy3 says:

Great work! The graphics you used really pulled the whole thing together.

  16. hkim717 says:

Nice visuals and transitions between slides. The video is easy to understand because of the pictures and the captions.

  17. sskram3 says:

Good video! Crazy how weeds can take over and how directional selection takes place. I thought this was a good example of that.

  18. schowdhury35 says:

This video is very clear and informative. It was easy to follow and the graphs were helpful.

  19. gmathew6 says:

Very clear and in depth. Good combination of graphs, charts, diagrams, and other visuals.

  20. jcho300 says:

It is very well explained, so I can fully understand.

  21. jkim3087 says:

Good illustrations and organized explanation. also nice voice:)

  22. xguan9 says:

Good video, but a little too many graphs shown in a short video

  23. amorris45 says:

There was a good variety of great visuals! The voice was clear, and the lesson went over directional selection which related to class.

  24. jlee961 says:

entertaining and very easy to follow with the video. It was very informative. I learned a lot of new things about herbicides.

  25. khughes38 says:

Explains a lot and conveys the understanding but somewhat lack luster.

  26. kdoughty7 says:

This video did a good job of explaining the topic with both data and conceptual knowledge that we actually learned in class. I thought that it could have speculated on how and why weeds are evolving under these circumstances, as well as more details on what farmers and scientists are doing to counteract this evolution, but overall I liked it.

  27. mting7 says:

Very in-depth and clear. Kind of dull but conveys the message very effectively. The visuals were effective but not distracting. Some of the visuals could be better explained such as the distribution graph and the bar graph.

  28. arussell32 says:

I enjoyed the variety of images in this video- while the commentary was superb, seeing various diagrams, pictures, and other images helps to support what we are hearing. I enjoyed that I could see data visibly, instead of only hearing statistics.

  29. cloftus7 says:

Firstly, I’ve never heard of “superweeds”! That sounds really interesting that something like a weed can become a lot stronger than what we think it would. I really enjoyed this video and your group did a great job. The video is well made and it is quite informational. I like how directional selection was used to describe the weeds as they change.

  30. elisenby3 says:

Very Informative as to the current situation with genetically modified herbicides and the effect it has on weeds. Well researched followed up with thorough graphs.

  31. sstewart39 says:

This was very well researched and informative. It clearly and adequately explained the evolution of weeds in response to the use of herbicides and why GMOs are being created to continue to use new herbicides.

  32. bmcfarland7 says:

The video did a very good job of explaining how weeds evolved into superweeds, and gave specific details about how the herbicides played a crucial part in this process. I wish the group would have had everyone speak, but overall it was a very good video

  33. bstacey3 says:

Very straight forward and right to the point. Could have used some better or more interesting graphics to make audience more engaged. Very easy to understand.

  34. ttsung3 says:

I didn’t know that if you use more than one herbicide they become more effective

  35. kahluwalia3 says:

Easy to follow, interesting, relates well with course.

  36. kdhalla3 says:

Good flow of ideas, good use of course material to tie in topics

  37. aheil3 says:

Informative and interesting. I guess this explains why I haven’t seen anymore Roundup pesticide commercials.

  38. tmvg3 says:

Very well executed presentation of the material. Lacked uniqueness and creativity compared to some of the other videos, but the real life example was well connected to class discussion topics.

  39. cwade32 says:

Easily understandable and nicely tied into class discussion topics.

  40. cbotti3 says:

This is very informative, and evidence of research is apparent. Great job!

  41. lhuddleston3 says:

Very well edited. It does however seem to cut off at the end. It would have been nice to hear more than one person talking, however, this person clearly knew his topic well and did a good job explaining in a simple manner.

  42. rpuvvada3 says:

Very informative! Your quantitative metrics are impressive.

  43. jjs3 says:

Great information, but your narrations were fast and hard to hear at times

  44. ltran44 says:

Nice video! It is related to what we learnt in class

  45. cfares3 says:

Visuals are great. Video is informative. Good job

  46. shoover30 says:

Wow, I had no idea “Round Up” was the start of the resistance of weeds. The pictures made it easier to follow along with the narrator. Very helpful Group 1.

  47. marija3 says:

Very clear and informative, with good visuals to support the information. Also, relevant to what we learned in class and gives a good case study example.

  48. eferrando3 says:

I liked the inclusion of all of the graphs and examples. They really helped to highlight the points and also made it more clear. The information was presented in a way that was easy to follow and clear.
