Very helpful on the history of herpes. Great video

  3. yyang418 says:

This was a great way to not only explain the evolutionary journey of herpes, but to also bring what we are currently learning in Biology1510 and the Georgia Tech community into it as well.

  4. jpelzer3 says:

The information was presented in a very humorous way but still done professionally. The group did a good job in all aspects.

  5. sreginauld3 says:

The narration of this video was really good as it helped me understand the phylogeny of Herpes. The video was well put together, especially the transition from the human scenes to the pictures, to illustrate the information effectively.

This video is a great balance of informational and fun.

  7. nwatson9 says:

Congratulations on keeping a straight face whilst speaking of genitalia. Very Informative video, I stayed entertained the entire time and learned something new!

  8. preisinger3 says:

The video was extremely informative and was kept in simple terms so that even beginner biology students could understand. The storyline was well plotted and developed, staying in a chronological order. The graphics added to the quality of the video, making it easier for viewers to understand the information.

  9. jbright7 says:

That was a very unique and interesting way to lay out to explain this topic.

  10. sglandorf3 says:

I thought it was a good video. Parts of it got a bit wordy and drawn out, but otherwise the visuals and the story line made it interesting and engaging.

I really liked this video. The information was displayed in a really creative way, which made the video interesting to watch. Your group taught this topic well and in a unique way.

  12. jknipe3 says:

I like how you showed the possible phylogenic trees along with the primary hosts and explained the different theories and arguments for each.

  13. rcastro6 says:

Good incorporation of diagrams and pictures into the video to support the explanation of the topic.

  14. vvellanki3 says:

I love this! So creative!! Especially the Herpy part. 🙂

  15. kchan45 says:

Good content placed thoughtfully in a story. Good use and explanations of the phylogenetic trees. Maybe try to explain the differences in the different trees and why there are interpreted that way.

  16. jtrottier3 says:

Silly and funny but very informative. You obviously did your research. Good job on actually acting.

  17. tdiaz8 says:

The narrator speaks very clearly and at a good pace. I like how there is a story line behind the facts and students acting out each part. The video runs smoothly while also being informative about the topic.

The connection to “Herpy” as a student made it really fun to watch! Also, easy to follow the history of 2 types of herpes at their origin.

  23. bmcfarland7 says:

The video had such a clever way of describing the evolution of herpes. I also thought it was very informative in explaining how the scientists discovered where the second strain of herpes came from.

  24. jjohnson396 says:

Enjoyed it- tied in the audio and visual aids with effect. Informative.

  25. kahluwalia3 says:

The video was a good change in presenting the information on herpes, the story and content was good, but the video needs much more work.

  26. kdhalla3 says:

It was a different way of presenting the material. Content was good, but video seemed rough

  27. kmartin65 says:

This makes the information much more fun and easily understandable

  28. cwade32 says:

The narration and the story line made the topic easily understandable and engaging to watch.

  29. lhuddleston3 says:

This video was well informed and had a nice analogy. It was however a little monotonous to listen to the same voice the entire time and it had very few camera angles. The science in this video was a ltlle confusing to those who do not know the evolution of a bacteria and it would have been nice if this video went a little deeper into that.

  30. doakland3 says:

    good story. well presented. informative

  31. mpzd3 says:

Haha, definitely a great analogy that makes the concept easy to understand. This was an engaging video. I would recommend, however, using different voices and more transitions to make it more of a visual experience. The flow was a little off- smooth transitions would have helped. But again, the analogy was great.

  32. npittman6 says:

Really liked the balance between funny/entertaining and informative. Good work!!!

I liked the video, but it was a bit hard to follow at first. Good job overall though!

  37. sward40 says:

This was great. Informative video that was interesting, had a storyline that was funny. This video communicates the necessary biology material while keeping your interest. More interesting than a power point!

It was very creative and funny.
I loved how you speech at the beginning of the video!

  39. jkim3086 says:

This information in this video is well organized to understand! The video is also funny to hold my attention!

I thought it was cute how the people were Herpy and Herpet. It was much easier to think about the virus as an organism that way…

  41. jbrown375 says:

Scary to learn so much about Herpes! Good linkage back to the grand scheme of things. I enjoyed the presentation very thoroughly. Georgia Tech really has a big role in scientific advancements.
